Classification and characteristics of CNC turret punch
1. Mechanical turret punch. This kind of structure has single movement characteristics, narrow processing technology range, low stamping frequency, high noise, easy wear and tear of clutches and brakes, and low service life. It has been basically eliminated by the market.
2. Hydraulic turret punch. The striking head is driven by a hydraulic cylinder, and the stamping control is performed by an electro-hydraulic servo valve. This type of product has been the mainstream product in the market for a long time in the past. Compared with the mechanical type, its advantages are that the stamping manufacturability is expanded, the stamping frequency is increased, and the noise is reduced. However, there are disadvantages such as oil pollution, high power consumption, poor environmental and temperature tolerance, low reliability, and difficult maintenance.
3. All-electric servo turret punch. With the improvement and promotion of the high-torque servo motor and drive system in recent years, the all-electric servo turret punch has made great progress, and gradually replaced the hydraulic structure, becoming the mainstream product in the industry.
Compared with the traditional mechanical and hydraulic type, the all-electric servo main drive form has many advantages:
1. Good versatility and high level of intelligence. Due to the servo function, the movement curve of the punch is no longer just a sine curve, but an arbitrary curve that can be optimally designed according to the process requirements, which greatly improves the processing performance and expands the processing range.
2. High precision. The encoder on the servo motor can feed back the rotation angle information of the crank to the numerical control system, and then perform arithmetic processing through the functional relationship between the displacement of the punch and the rotation angle of the crank, and then the real-time data of the position of the punch can be obtained, forming a semi-closed loop control, realizing Accurate control of punch movement.
3. High production efficiency. The servo punch can adjust the stroke of the punch according to the different processing technology. There is no need to complete 360° rotation in one working cycle, and only a certain angle of swing can be used to complete the processing, which further shortens the cycle time and greatly improves the production efficiency.
4. Energy saving and environmental protection. The CNC turret punch driven by servo motor completely relies on the torque of the motor. The motor rotates only when the punch moves, and the energy saving effect is very obvious.

5. Small vibration and low noise. By setting the speed characteristic curve of the punch, when the upper die contacts the plate, the movement speed of the punch is appropriately reduced. Compared with the traditional mechanical and hydraulic CNC turret punch, the noise can be reduced by 8-12dB.
